I really enjoyed taking part in this year's Surrey Artists' Open Studios. It was lovely to meet so many interesting people and to talk about my work and the processes involved in making stained glass panels and fusing glass. Thankfully the weather behaved itself nicely and most days were bright and sunny!
I offered Fun Fused Glass Birds workshops every day and this gave me an opportunity to demonstrate how I work with glass. Attendees learnt how to design with and cut glass, and those interested in exploring further went home with glass fusing information and kiln programmes for warm glass work. Some very cute birds were also made as you can see below!
I'm already looking forward to next year's Open Studios and thinking about what to demonstrate and exhibit. Many thanks to everyone who came to visit me, it was great fun meeting you all.
